Fans of Superman know that he does have his weakness and that, of course is kryptonite.

In 2000, the then-up-and-coming rock band 3 Doors Down had a hit song with that title, complete with the lyric "if I go crazy, will you still call me Superman?"

It's official: 3 Doors Down have gone senile.

It was announced last week that the band, also known for hits such as "Loser", "Here Without You" and "Duck and Run" will be playing at Donald Trump's inaugural concert on Friday.  Other performers at the event will include Toby Keith, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Big and Rich, Lee "God Bless the USA" Greenwood and not much else celebrity-wise. Sir Elton John, Celine Dion and Moby were all invited to attend, but all refused.

So far, 3 Doors Down are the sole rock band playing at the inaugural and it's pissing off their fans. One fan Tweeted to them that Trump is a disgrace to America while others have proclaimed that the band has lost their only fans. However, some fans are defending 3DD's decision to play the event since they are pro-military (their 2007 hit "Citizen/Soldier" was used by the US National Guard). However, this is Donald Trump we're talking about here, folks. A man who degrades women and minorities, wants to eliminate affordable health care, wastes his time attacking intelligent people on Twitter and simply put, puts the wealthy in front of the rest of us.

But if 3 Doors Down wants to keep losing fans, fine. Their latest album, Us and the Night hasn't been a big seller (in comparison, their first album, 2000's The Better Life sold over five million copies) and critics have given it raving reviews. Bear in mind, too that the group has had some major turnover in recent years. Former guitarist Matt Roberts died of a prescription drug overdose in 2015 and bassist Todd Harrell was kicked out of the band in 2012 because of an accident he caused that killed another man. Like Roberts, Harrell was addicted to pills and was sentenced to two years in prison for the man's death.

No word on if lead singer and principal songwriter Brad Arnold is on drugs himself, but judging by the band's bad decision-making, they might as well be.
