You know a movie is gonna be good when there's a boycott.

On Valentine's Day weekend, the much-ballyhooed "50 Shades of Grey" will be released to the general public. The movie, based from the best-selling book is destined to be one of the biggest movies of the year and one of the sexiest movies in years.

However, some folks want the movie adaptation banned from local cinemas.

Scott Ruth is a man from Wyoming who started CancelGrey.com in hopes of making sure that the locally-owned Celebration! Cinemas do not show '50 Shades' on opening day. In an interview with local Fox affiliate WXMI, Ruth claims that he's never read the book but knows what it's about. Of course, the story involves a highly-sexual relationship between a businessman and a young woman that involves bondage and sadomasochism.

So far, the petition has 1,300 signatures and Ruth is aiming for 5,000. However, Celebration! says that so far, 3,000 tickets have been sold and is aiming for 10,000 when the movie opens on Friday the 13th.

Meanwhile, up in Fremont, Bill Johnson of the American Decency Association is at it again. He's now passing a petition to boycott the movie at the town's two-screen cinema. However, according to their Facebook page, Fremont Cinemas is stating that feedback for the movie is strong, and plans to show it if they can get a copy.

Ya know, it's funny when fucked-up Jebus freaks decide what's best for you and I to see. What's amazing, too is that currently, Fremont Cinemas is showing "American Sniper", a movie about a man who goes out and kills Muslims and apparently, it's decent enough to show in the Baby Food Capitol. But a film that's rated R for "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language"? Ut-oh!

Look, Hollywood has been producing movies with lots of blood and gore for the past decade or so and not a lot of movies with skin in fears that the MPAA would slap it with an NC-17. Thankfully, '50 Shades' got an R, so mainstream chains will be able to show it. Personally, I'd rather see a movie with so-called "graphic nudity" vs. a flick with no real plot and a bunch of heads getting blown off.

I haven't been to a movie since "The Hangover III" two years ago, and I think it's time I should go and support this film. If I have the time and the reviews are good, I'll go see it. I need to tell the Bill Johnson and Scott Ruths of the world that if you don't like it, don't buy it. It's rated R, so kids can't see it as-is. I already have two parents, and I don't need more to tell me what I can and can't watch.

After all, I don't need pussies to tell me I can't see pussy.
