Over the Holiday Break, I decided to catch up on some movies.

One of the flicks was 22 Jump Street, starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as two undercover cops tracking down a drug ring in a community college. In a sequence while the two were tripping, Tatum is in heaven, complete with a guy in a beer costume, rainbows and the DJ Assault classic "Ass-N-Titties" in the background while poor Jonah is in hell with Creed's "Higher" playing while he pouts.

Yes, it's safe to associate Creed with hell, especially with the troubles former lead singer Scott Stapp has been through in recent weeks. Of course, Stapp now claims to be homeless and living at a Holiday Inn while his estranged family claims that he's on drugs and needs to be on a psych hold. Even worse, his ex-wife even claims that Stapp even threatened to kill President Obama.

Now, when I heard about Stapp wanting to assassinate the leader of the free world, it brought me back some 10 years ago when Dixie Chick Natalie Maines proclaimed in England that she was ashamed that she's from Texas, where George W. Bush was from. Because of her rant, all country stations owned by Cumulus and others banned the Chicks' music.

However, there's a huge difference between being ashamed of being from the same state as a dumbass whose stupidity brought down the Twin Towers and led our country into several thoughtless wars and wanting to kill the current president just because your record sales are down.

So the question is, why are radio stations STILL playing Creed, even AFTER Stapp made that threat?

Even worse, one of those stations being my hometown rock station, WGRD?

Last week, I was peeking at 'GRD's playlist and found out that "Torn" was played at 3:30 in the afternoon. That's right! WGRD played that piece of shit Creed song with that Obama-hating asshole. That means that they have to pay to air that shitty song through royalties and advertisers will help to fund Stapp's terrorism. THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS.

You know, this is why GRD is becoming a shell of what it was just a few years ago. PD Jerry Tarrents went to Detroit. Jackie went to Fox 17. Shaffee was canned. Stoner Andy also ended up in Detroit. But, the sad thing is that since JT left, the station's direction is pretty much all over the place. They don't even have a real PD anymore! A lot of the fault has fallen on owner Townsquare, who pretty much wants all of their rock stations to copy each other. Hell, they can get away with playing the Pet Shop Boys and WGRD will still be an active rock station.

The point is simple: WGRD AND ALL ROCK STATIONS IN AMERICA NEED TO REMOVE ALL CREED SONGS FROM THEIR PLAYLISTS. Scott Stapp is a danger to our country and anybody who even THREATENS to kill the president needs to be thrown in jail. But since Townsquare kisses Republican ass, they can get away with murder.

Yet another good reason why I ditched terrestrial radio years ago.
