Sometimes, I get a big chuckle from watching the 6:30 news.

On Sunday, I was watching ABC World News, and they were talking about the Saturday night Republican debate. As usual, they talked about the usual top three - Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry - and even a little bit about Michele Bachmann. They talked a little bit about the $10,000 between Romney and Perry and even Perry's latest Dubya-esque jab against Obama where he called Solyndra a country and not the solar company the Obama administration wated a ton of money on.

Amazingly enough, throughout the segment, they made little-to-no mention of Ron Paul.

I know, Ron Who?

Right now, Newt Gingrich is in the lead in the polls, although he has no chance in hell he'll be president. Or, at least the fact that I DON'T want a so-called family values man who cheated on his cancer-stricken wife to be president. Paul, on the other hand, might be a Republican, but at least he's anti-bailout and is for a more-fair tax system unlike most of his running mates.

So why's the media ignoring Paul? Simple: he's not in anybody's pockets. He's on his own while the other Repukes aren't making much sense. Everything that comes out of everyone else's mouth is Obama this and Obama that.

Folks, the only way I'll vote Republican in 2012 is if Paul wins the nomination. If he loses and runs as an independent, I might as well vote for Obama again since there's many 2008 Obama supporters who would vote for him, but it would eventually mean more power to the Republicans. True, he's proven to be far from perfect, but hey! We caught Osama and Kadaffi, the economy's improving and soon, healthcare will be affordable for everybody. Although he's a moderate and not a full liberal, I'd rather have him in the White House over a Bush-like Repuke like Rick Perry who's like an old man with Alzheimer's.

This is only getting more interesting...
