On September 11, 2001, we started to love and care for another.

But on September 13, we threw it out the door.

One of the most-idiotic comments to be made on American soil after the attacks was made only two days after when the Rev. Jerry Falwell went on The 700 Club and proclaimed to butt buddy Pat Robertson that the 9/11 attacks were made in part due to gays, abortionists, feminists and the ACLU.

"I point my finger in your face and I say, 'you let this happen!'", Falwell said. Robertson concurred with the statement.

Yes, in the feeble little mind of the man who thought that the Teletubbies were gay, Jerry Falwell blamed the 9/11 attacks on, well, freedom itself. Even worse, Robertson agreed, just like any devout, un-free-minded Repuke would ever think.

You know, kids, the Religious Reich in this country has led this great nation into massive decay. Because of them, we ended up with an asshole Repuke president throughout the 80s who lowered taxes amongst the wealthy and busted the unions left and right. Now, if you're like me, a 30 year old male, good luck getting a good, high-paying job. Instead, you're probably still living in mommy's basement or on your own with more debt on your credit card than what you have in the bank. As a matter of fact, new studies are showing that poverty in this country is now at an all-time high.

Oh, did we mention that Robertson's Christian Coalition paid Hillary Clinton several million bucks in hush money to avoid even TALKING about universal healthcare? Sad, since Patty Boy had several heart surgeries and still has a cool billion in the bank. The poor souls who actually give to The 700 Club are desolate and worried that their house will get foreclosed on.

Thing is, that fateful day where Falwell made that moronic statement shows how low the bible thumpers can get. It's amazing that the two will cry about homosexuality - which the Bible hardly even mentions - yet, the two will or have died wealthy, and even the big J himself has proclaimed that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go to heaven. Sorry, but if anybody out there gives their money to Pat or Jerry's family ministries - and all of them are still around - they're flat-out stupid.

I used to know a white trash family that gave to The 700 Club; they lived in a trailer with another trailer in the backyard with its roof caved in. Maybe if they didn't give to CBN, their property wouldn't look like the typical residence of everybody who goes on Jerry Springer.

9/11 taught us a lesson, and it's that yes, a group of Muslims went on some planes, hijacked them and crashed them into buildings. Does that mean that all Muslims are bad? No. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson are Christians. Some so-called "Christians" are terrorists, too. They bomb abortion clinics and kill innocent people for their beliefs. But are all Christians bad? See the last answer for the question I asked.

Osama and Jerry Falwell: two extremists who make religion a bad name.
