Bee-otched For: thinking he'll cream Obama next year

---

I guess if the Republicans can find someone better than Obama, I'll vote for them in 2012.

Wait! THEY DO! Ron Paul-er, never mind.

Last weekend at the straw poll in Iowa, Texas Governor Rick Perry made his announcement that he's running for president of the United States next year. Perry claims that his record in creating jobs in the Lone Star State could triumph Obama's plan of creating jobs.

But once again, it's all about what jobs are created.

Despite being the state's governor since 2000 and basically being George W. Bush's fourth term in office in that state, Perry is, well, not perfect. He might boast that Texas has a high employment rate, look at the facts that I've learned from last night's Countdown With Keith Olbermann on Current (and yes, welcome back, Keith!):

*Texas has the highest number of minimum-waged workers, tied with Mississippi.
*It has the 4th highest poverty rate.
*Texas is dead last in job creation from February 2009-June 2011, with guess which state being first? MICHIGAN! (Way to go, Jenny G.!)
*It has the highest percentage of children with no health insurance.
*43rd place in high school graduation rate.
*45th place in SAT scores.
*Last place in high school diplomas amongst those 25 and older.

As president, Perry claims that he'll abolish the Department of Education. Oh, please. If there's a nation that needs good schools, it's us. The Repukes have been dumping on teachers for years by cutting funding and creating failed children. Today, school districts are struggling, and do we need a man who kisses the ass of the Bush family and the far right to run this country?

As many of us know, President Obama announced yesterday that he's created a jobs plan that he'll formally announce after Labor Day. The plan is to lower taxes and increase grants for construction projects that might save his chances for re-election in 2012. So, what's Perry's plan for creating jobs in this country?

Look, I think that Obama needs to up his game, too, but to more like FDR levels. I agree with the far left that he's not progressive enough and even many of his plans have fallen flat. Remember Cash For Clunkers? Nice, but there's still a lot of ghetto cars on the road, and gas prices are still $3.77 per gallon.

Yes, I have my fears of Obama not winning 2012, and that we might have a looney tune like Perry in office. Like I said, he's nothing more than Bush's second term. Remember, when Bush led Texas, their economy has horrid, and when he led the nation, it blowed over.

With Rick Perry, expect the same.
