Congratulations, America, you lose.

Yesterday, you slowed down the process for recovery for this great nation by voting Republicans left and right. Here in Michigan, you voted in Rick Snyder as our next governor. Yep! A man with a long history of shipping jobs to China and is promising to sell off the Mackinac Bridge is now Michigan's governor-elect.
But that's not all. Our next Attorney General, Secretary of State and several districts of the state house and senate will now be run by Republicans.

On a nationwide scale, it's projected that John Boehner will be our new house speaker, replacing Nancy Pelosi. True, I was no real fan of Pelosi's - especially since she decided that any investigations into Bush's BS wouldn't be necessary - but then again, it's always the lesser of all the evils.

Thankfully, the Dems had *some* good news: the biggest financial embarrassment in the election went to Linda McMahon, who spent $50 million of her own money in her botched run for senate in Connecticut. Also, Rich Iott lost his run for Congress, and yes, Chris Coons beat out the Wicked Old With of Delaware, Christine O'Donnell for Senate.

But'cha know? Maybe The Dems' loss yesterday will mean a good thing two years from now. Remember why we elected Obama in for the first place: it's because we got sick of the Repukes giving too much to the extremely wealthy. Tragically, their win Tuesday shows that we're a fast food nation: we expect high quality in little time. The truth is, it doesn't happen. Just ask anybody that lived through the Great Depression.
In the end, if Michigan falls further into the hole and more jobs leave this state, all I can tell you is this simple fact: don't blame me, I never voted for a Republican.
